24 June 2007 Flavour of Shetland showcases islands finest to record visitors
This year’s Flavour of Shetland event has broken last year’s record of footfall – recording a staggering 43,400 visits to Victoria Pier from 21 to 24 June, a 21 per cent increase on the 2006 event. The event has also exceeded expectations on all counts for craft stall holders and food outlets, while the invited guest chefs had nothing but praise for the outstanding quality of hand picked local ingredients provided by suppliers for the cookery demonstrations.

22 June 2007 Flavour of Shetland launches in style on victoria Pier
Flavour of Shetland got off to a flying start yesterday (21 June) as Victoria Pier filled with partygoers all fired up to enjoy the veritable feast of food and drink, music, crafts, culture and entertainment laid on to celebrate the very best of the islands. The action packed programme continues today as people get set for the festival weekend.

5 June 2007 Entertainment extravaganza lined up for Flavour of Shetland
Once again, the organisers of Flavour of Shetland are putting on an entertainment extravaganza from 21 to 24 June on Victoria Pier with musicians, children’s activities, storytelling and a Viking parade marching through the town centre included in the line up.

23 May 2007 A fine flavour of Shetland

27 June 2006 Master Chefs Sing the Praises of Shetland's Quality Seafood
Master Chefs George McIvor, chairman of the Master Chefs of Great Britain, and Donald Munro,
regional business development chef at Nestlé visited Shetland this week and were bowled over by the
quality and freshness of Shetland's seafood product. The chefs were providing cookery demonstrations at
one of the island's major events, Flavour of Shetland, which has now firmly established itself at the centre of the summer
event calendar.

09 May 2006 Shetland to Celebrate a Flavour of the Islands in June
Building on the tremendous success of last year's inaugural event, Flavour of Shetland will be staged as a major
event in the islands again this year holding its own among other highly-acclaimed events including the Up Helly Aa fire
festival and the Shetland Folk Festival. From 22 to 25 June, the very best of Shetland will be showcased on Victoria Pier in Lerwick to
coincide with the arrival of participants in the Shetland Round Britain and Ireland Race and the Bergen Shetland Races.
