Bairns Activity Tent
Homewall
Large wall along one side of the tent covered with paper which children can write or draw directly onto. They will be asked to draw or write about their own homes
15 minutes of dance
Regular freestyle dance sessions will be run all weekend before or after programmed events.
Duckie Art & Pirate Models
Duckie Art for the younger age groups with colouring in pictures that can be taken away or displayed on the Duck Art Wall. For older children there will be opportunities to make Pirate Ships out of milk cartons or to make a pirate puppet.
Games corner
Fun games corner for all ages with games such as ‘Hook the Treasure’, ‘The Lerwick to Bressay Duck Race’, ‘Splat the Ships Rat’ and ‘Feed the Shark’
Face painting
Small pirate/duck themed designs only offered in order to avoid overly large cues.
Silent disco
Aimed at late primary and early secondary aged young people. A silent disco every evening from 7pm till 9pm including an alcohol free bar.
Children's Street Theatre
'Winnie and Flushing Frank' is a short 15 minute play which will be run as part of the children’s entertainment programme:
Winnie is cleaning her bathroom but something is seriously wrong with her toilet. It keeps on flushing whenever she turns her back on it. She thinks this toilet has a mind of its own. Little does she know that Frank the toilet does and when her back is turned he is having a good laugh at her expense! Finally, Winnie discovers Frank’s secret and tries to stop him from flushing on his own but with hilarious results as Frank always has the final laugh..................
The play runs Thursday 17th at 2.15pm and 4.15pm; Friday 18th at 1.30pm and 4.00pm and Sunday 20th at 1.15pm and 4.00pm.
